Aidan Campbell

WRITER/DIRECTOR/DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY/EDITOR/PRODUCER

SFX MAKE-UP/SET DESIGNER/COMPOSER/CASTING DIRECTOR

Aidan grew up in Indiana, where he started making short, amateur films with friends and family as a hobby. His love for filmmaking evolved, especially his interest in the horror genre during high school. This passion was developed at Ball State University, where he studied video production, gaining the opportunity to finally create his envisioned projects. Since graduating, Aidan has produced numerous films and remains eager to create more.

Aidan's films are marked by a unique style and tone. He has been involved in every aspect of production, including writing, directing, cinematography, and editing for all of his projects, founding ARC Productions. His latest work, The Watchers, maintains the look and feel of his previous short films, such as The Film Project and The Eyes Beneath, while allowing him to explore new depths because of its feature-length runtime.

Aidan's ambition stretches not only to creation, but also to sharing these works with others. His short horror films debuted to a sold-out crowd at 'Aidan Campbell's Fright Night' in October 2023. It's through this crowd, Aidan continues to create. The Watchers was entirely crowdfunded, raising around $20,000 for its production. Aidan is immensely grateful for his ongoing support and looks forward to continuing to share his uniquely designed films and passion for filmmaking with others.

Walker Leamon

CAMERA OPERATOR

Walker is a fellow Ball State graduate with a Bachelor's in Video Production, minoring in Screenwriting. He began his filmmaking journey during his time in college, filming an advertisement for a local movie theater. As his college career continued, so did the advertisements, filming others for businesses throughout Indiana in his hometown of Kendallville, Fort Wayne, and the Indianapolis area.

While he enjoyed developing advertising for various companies, his true passion lies in filmmaking and the creativity that it allows for. He's been a Camera Operator and 1st Assistant Camera for three feature length films thus far, including The Watchers. He has filled a multitude of other roles on sets, despite typically being the one holding the camera. This allowed him to broaden his knowledge of the film world and be able to help out any and everywhere needed.

Walker enjoys working through "the dance" with actors during filming knowing how to play the environment to evoke emotions from the audience. He balances the mathematical aspects of operating the camera with a creative approach, offering unorthodox and unique ways of getting the shots necessary. Walker ensured his value of a collaborative partner and friend during his time on set, and looks forward to being an integral part of the ARC Productions journey and team, both creating new films and building the team.

Frank Calvert

SFX DESIGN

Jack "Frank" Calvert is a fellow Ball State graduate with a Bachelor's in Media Production, also minoring in Screenwriting during his time there. Born with a burning passion for practical special effects and powerful storytelling, his work often reflects that. Reminiscent of 70's to early 2000's style of prop-making and gags, he often draws inspiration from the greats - Tom Savini, Tony Gardener, and Greg Nicotero.

What Frank brings to the screen is designed to cause wincing, squirming, churned stomachs, and keep audiences suspended in disbelief. His filmmaking career took off working in student film productions at Ball State developing various replicated fake body parts, weapons, and even a "skinned victim" mask. After graduation, Frank has continued to develop even more props and custom masks. He looks forward to continuing to learn more about practical special effects and theorizing how to make the next gruesome on-screen addition to an ARC Productions film.

Frank designed a custom mask and SFX rig for The Watchers that will be debuting soon for a wide audience to see all the work he put in. While it currently remains a secret, Frank cemented himself as a valued collaborator and integral part of ARC Productions moving forward for all our special effects needs.
